From 18 to 21 March 2026, at Café de Catro a Catro in Vigo, we organized the Ágora-R Conference 2026 from Ecoar))), under the title “A Planet in Dispute: Global Alerts and Popular Responses”. Over four days, we brought together eight essential voices to address the major issues in geopolitics and social movements, filling the venue to listen, debate, and reflect collectively.
On Wednesday 18, we opened the sessions with Asier Arias Domínguez and his talk “The System Is the Problem! Militarisation, Colonialism and Biophysical Limits”, followed by Augusto Zamora Rodríguez with “Yankees, Go Home! World Politics in the Time of Trump. From Venezuela to Iran”. On Thursday 19, Pablo Elorduy focused on new technologies in “Not One Step Back! Silicon Valley Embraces Fascism” and Irene Zugasti analyzed propaganda in “They Will Not Silence Us! How Are Wars Framed? Geopolitics and Communication.”
On Friday 20, we were joined by Tica Font, debunking myths about military spending in “Your Wars, Our Dead! Europe and Its Rearmament Plan”, and Anna Gabriel closed the day with “No Hate in Our Streets! Municipalism Against the Far Right”. On Saturday 21, Aníbal Garzón reflected on the emergence of a multipolar world in “Against Imperialist Aggression! The Transition to an Alternative World Order”, and Francesca Cicardi closed with “Free Palestine! The International Solidarity That Could Not Stop a Genocide”.
We thank everyone who made this gathering possible. Thank you for participating, sharing, debating, thinking, and building. Thanks to everyone convinced that we can create networks of resistance everywhere. We look forward to counting on your strength again, from now on! Nobody will do it for us!
